~SYNOPSIS~

After her family is killed by corrupt warlord Aric Athair and his bloodthirsty army of Bullets, Caledonia Styx is left to chart her own course on the dangerous and deadly seas. She captains her ship, the Mors Navis, with a crew of girls and women just like her, whose lives have been turned upside down by Aric and his men. The crew has one misson: stay alive, and take down Aric’s armed and armored fleet.

But when Caledonia’s best friend and second-in-command just barely survives an attack thanks to help from a Bullet looking to defect, Caledonia finds herself questioning whether or not to let him join their crew. Is this boy the key to taking down Aric Athair once and for all…or will he threaten everything the women of the Mors Navis have worked for?

“Never underestimate the girls of this world.”

~MY REVIEW~

Can you imagine Mad Max meeting pirate universe? If not, while reading this book you will definitely do. Natalie C. Parker managed to create amazing world with great pirate battles and strong female characters.

A few years in the past, Caledonia Styx being still young, naive girl, chose to believe soldier form army of Bullets. That costed her and her friend losing their families and everything they had. For next four years they lived dreaming of avenging their families and friend. They rebuilt their old destroyed ship Ghost and gave it a new name: Mors Navis.

After four year the crew of the ship counts fifty two strong girls and women who are ready to fight with warlord’s Aric Athair army. And their captain is Caledonia, who learnt from her mistakes from past and now is ready to lead them and get her revenge which won’t be easy because Bullets are strong and cruel. But what will she do if her best friend is capture by the enemy? Will she be able to safe her or will she make another mistakes which costs her even more?

I definitely will read the rest of this book to find answers for these questions and experience more pirate adventures!
