Can you ever find true love online?

Sophia Jones is an expert in all things online dating: the best sites, how to write a decent bio, which questions to ask and the right type of photos to use. The only thing she’s not so great at? Picking the guys…

After sitting through yet another dreadful date with a man who isn’t quite what she expected, Sophia is just about ready to give up on the whole dating scene. But her flatmate, Kate, persuades her to give it one more chance, only this time she must create a profile describing her ‘perfect’ man.

Yes, he must look like Robert Pattinson and needs to own a multi-million pound business, but there are a couple of other deal breakers, too! So, when a guy comes along who ticks every box, surely there’s got to be a catch?

A laugh-out-loud romantic comedy, perfect for fans of Catherine Bennetto and Rosie Blake!

If you never have been on the bad date, you have no idea how lucky you are. For me dating is nightmare but even I can’t compare with main character, Sophia. She had dubious pleasure to be on 71 dates that didn’t match her expectations. As you can see she’s an expert and tough player in this looking for love game because if I were in her shoes I would give up long time ago. But even she started to have doubts. Fortunately her friend and roommate, Kate, convinced her to give online dating one more chance. So Sophia created ridiculous profile describing her ‘perfect man’: multimillionaire, who looks like Robert Pattinson (personally I would go with Tom Hiddleston) with body of Daniel Craig and also cat lover. It’s not possibility to find someone like that, right? Well, life (especially in books) likes to surprise and Sophie meet her prince charming , Daniel. He meets all her criteria so he should be her perfect match right?

Daniel gave me a weird feeling. He’s nice, incredible handsome and rich. And all the time I couldn’t stop compering him to other filthy rich businessman and was waiting for some dark secrets. Because there couldn’t be someone perfect, right? There has to be some catch!

Sophia was sometimes hard to like. She has tendency to label people very fast. If you make bad first impression she will be done with you. I admit that sometimes it’s easy to pigeonhole others but giving some of them another chance is important. And that’s lesson main character had to learn. But beyond this negative trait she’s charming person.

I also have a favorite character from this book – Chris. And if I have to be honest I must say that I didn’t like him so much at the beginning. His first appearance wasn’t so good and he made me irritated. But that first impression changed and he became my favorite character from whole book. At some point I even thought that I don’t care what happen with main character, as long as Chris get happy ending I will be happy.

Perfect Match is so enjoyable book to read that it was hard to put it down. Zoe May has talent to write crazy,  funny situations which make me laugh so many times. If you are fan of romantic comedy it’s definitely book for you!

  1. Sounds great! I look a good romance- especially if it’s funny as well, which it sounds like this one definitely is! I’ll have to give it a look 😀

  2. I would definitely be looking out for some deep dark secrets! It sounds like a really fun book. I might actually grab a copy for a friend of mine who has been having a bit of a nightmare on the dating scene. Great review 🙂
